Heather and I have begun to run every other morning and to do some simple exercises. Heather works out more but I've decided to just focus on my core. Running in 30 degrees with 86% humidity is no joke!!!!!!! After our run and work out we headed out for a family lunch at a Chinese cafe. Afterwards my Auntie Katherine took us to KLCC which are the twin buildings. This is a huge tourist mall with really high end stores like LV, Hermes and Marc Jacobs just to name a very few. While at KLCC we were lucky enough to catch a lion dance. I've been watching lion dances my whole life on Chinese New Year but nothing as good as this one. The lion was jumping on these short pillars and the dancers were picking each other up and everything. Very impressive. After the lion dance I think we all came to an understanding that Heather and I could not afford anything in this mall so we headed back home where Heather and I went out for McDonalds like the proud North Americans we are. I tried the Fillet-O-Fish for the first time which was horrible and Heather ordered a Prosperity Burger which is a promotional burger offered during Chinese New Year. That is about it for this day. Quite boring!!!
In the next 6-7 months I will be traveling, living and working with my friend Heather Snowball in Sydney Australia, stopping in Malaysia on my way there, making my way out to New Zealand and stopping in South Korea on my way back. I am also challenging myself to learn how to Surf and hopefully become somewhat capable by the end of my 6 months. This blog is a way for me to keep my friends and family up to date with my travels while I'm Down Under!
